In the early fifties Dr BB Lal had done extensive examination of the Hastinapur sites. It was his credit to obtain the Mahabharata era pots what he named Painted Grey Ware ( PGW). He was hesitating to call during the Congress regime  the Mahabharata era pot. He placed - according to his words - Mahabharat battle around 800 BCE.  This period is also defectively calculated. Whatever be the World of the Archaeology never before the History of the Mankind has ever seen the "White Stone Made Mozaic Ware". Even the most advanced & cultured cities in the past including of Rome, or cities like Venice or Milan  or even the finest cities of the Britain had seen such things in the past. This was born at Dwarika and finished at the Dwarika. This is the precious property of the entire mankind. 

 पचास के दशक में श्री बी बी लाल ने हस्तिनापुर के खुदाई के समय प्राचीन मृद सामग्री  को  "पेंटेड ग्रे वेयर" कहा  था. तत्कालीन कांग्रेस शासन में  महाभारत सभ्यता कहने में थोड़ी परेशानी हो रही थी. वस्तुतः यह नाम करण अपने आप में गलत थी.  अभी तक  पेंटेड ग्रे वेयर को सर्वाधिक प्राचीन  माना  जाता है. उन्होंने   महाभारत  युद्ध का समय ८०० ईस्वी पूर्व  रखा था . यह काल समय भी गलत थी . जो भी हो  पुरातत्व की दुनिया  में एक और नाम शामिल हो जाती है जो न पहले देखी गयी न सूनी गयी . ये थी द्वारिका सभ्यता के "सफ़ेद पाषाण से निर्मित व्हाइट मोजाइक वेयर ". इस तरह के मोजाइक वेयर  द्वारिका में ही उत्पन्न हुए - द्वारिका में ही ख़त्म हो गए . द्वारिका से बाहर विश्व के सभ्य से सभ्य देशों ने भी इन " व्हाइट मोजाइक वेयर" को नहीं देखा.  भारत के महान सांस्कृतिक इतिहास में यह अनोखी घटना थी.
