The "Crocodile ( Makar )  with fish" motif has been found at the Ancient Dwarika ( picture 1). The same motif is also seen at the Mohenjodaro ( picture 2). The Dwarika's  Krishna's iconography is now moving beyond Mohenjodaro and is stretching towards Magadha Janapada and Tamilnadu. The extensive silver punch marked coins with "Crocodile Fish" has  found at the Magadh Janapadas and at Tamil Nadu ( Village: Vaigai Nallur). This movement shows the dominance of established Krishna Rule on these two lands. These punch marked coins are also recorded  by Panini, who was  the contemporary of Krishna. He calls such punch marked coins  as-  "Karsharpan". The  "Crocodile with fish" is symbol of "Pradyumna" - one of the 24 Krishna Names. Bhagwan Krishna gave his name "Pradyumna" to his eldest son from Rukmini. The Heliodorus pillar, at Gwalior ( MP ) with "Makar"  symbol is associated with same punch coin motif "Pradyumna". This is the reason in prominent Vaishnava temples like Jagannath Puri, and at Ayodhya temple,  demolished by Babar, extensive "Makar" symbol is seen of Krishna.  The Indians, soon  forgotten this important iconography like the "Ekashringa" iconography.   

 "मकर यूक्त मछली" चिन्ह प्राचीन द्वारिका में मिले हैं ( चित्र संख्या १ ) . यही चिन्ह मोहनजोदड़ो में मिले हैं ( चित्र संख्या २ ). यही चिन्ह मगध जनपद तथा तमिलनाडू के वैगनालूर गाँव में चांदी के  पंचमार्क सिक्के में हजारों की संख्या में मिले हैं . जो यह बताती है कि भगवान् कृष्ण ने द्वारिका साम्राज्य का विस्तार मोहनजोदड़ो, मगध जनपद तथा  आज के तमिलनाडू तक कर ली थी. संगम साहित्य का  महान कवि  इस घटना को भूलता नहीं. पाणिनि जो कृष्ण  के समकालीन है ऐसे सिक्के के बारे में उल्लेख अपने ग्रन्थ में   "कार्षापण" के नाम से की है .   द्वारिका से लेकर   "कार्षापण" में भगवान्  कृष्ण का "मकर यूक्त मछली चिन्ह" वैष्णव सम्प्रदाय का प्रधान चिन्ह है - जिसे  "प्रद्युम्न"  के नाम से जाना जाता है . यह हरिवंश पुराण में भगवान् कृष्ण के २४ प्रिय नामों में एक नाम आता है.  यह नाम इतना प्रिय है कि भगवान्  कृष्ण ने  अपना ही नाम   रुक्मिणी से उत्पन्न पुत्र को दे दिया . इसलिए भारत के विशिष्ट वैष्णव मंदिरों में खासकर के  उड़ीशा के श्री  जगनाथ पूरी तथा अयोध्या के प्राचीन राम मंदिर में  मकर  चिन्ह  विशेष रूप से प्राप्त होते हैं. यह मकर यूक्त चिन्ह ग्वालियर में "हलियोडोरोस पिलर" पर  "प्रद्युम्न"  के नाम से जाना जाता है.   भारत के लोग भगवान् कृष्ण  के  इस चिन्ह को जल्द भूल गए जैसे वे महत्त्वपूर्ण चिन्ह "एकशृंग" को भूल बैठे.
